The CRV-Plate — Cross Relief Valve

Power isn’t the only thing turbines generate. As their oil breaks down from oxidation and high internal temperatures, turbines also create varnish and sludge. And while these oil by-products may be microscopic in size, their effects can be devastating. Over time, these small particles will coat sensitive internal components with a sticky film. Servo valves are their main target. Given the opportunity, varnish and sludge will clog these internal valves and start a cascade that can trip the entire system.

The problem begins long before there’s even a hint of a disaster. Fortunately, the solution can also begin long before disaster strikes. It’s called the CRV-Plate from Sovice Solutions and Services. How does it work? It creates lubricant flow conditions that prevent sludge and varnish particles from falling out of the fluid and settling onto internal components. CRV-Plate installation is surprisingly easy, requiring only minimal modification, if any. Moreover, we offer a CRV-Plate for each type of servo valve in gas turbine control systems. The CRV-Plate is the fastest, easiest way to avoid sticky problems that can lead to expensive downtime.
